Mission Statement

Buffalo Creek Little League (BCLL) is dedicated to supporting the development of life skills and personal character in the youth of our community through the enjoyment of the sport of baseball.
Donation and Sponsorship serves a two-fold purpose where everyone wins. First, it allows your help to be displayed to the community that you value our youth in the community and serves the youth and generations of players that will come through the program.
Our promise is to always strive for continued professionalism knowing we not only represent ourselves and the youth but the continued support of valuable businesses such as yours.

Division Description

T-Ball

Tee Ball is the entry level division for boys and girls, ages 4 – 6. The introduction and foundation of the sport that begins to focus on the equipment used, field orientation, fundamentals, and teamwork. Players bat in order throughout the game so all players get the same number of at bats. Games are played with height adjusted Tees to teach a level swing and a softer baseball than older leagues. Players ages 5 – 6 must complete one Spring season of Tee Ball before moving up to Coach Pitch.

Coach Pitch

Coach Pitch is geared towards younger boys and girls, ages 5 – 7, who are ready to adapt to more rules and techniques. Players are pitched the same soft T-Balls as before but now begin to work on timing as their coach tosses a ball from approximately 20 feet away. T-Ball bats are still used and all players bat and play in this division.

Machine Pitch

This division is also for boys and girls ages 6 – 9 and uses a wheeled pitching machine to deliver more consistent baseballs, players are given five hittable pitches to make it to base or be struck out. The machine delivers balls more accurately than pitched balls and also improves a player’s confidence to hit balls coming at a faster speed of 45mph. This is the first division that Catchers are used and must be properly equipped. This division is the first to introduce interleague season and post season tournament play. Players in this division are evaluated before the season to ensure they are safely able to participate. This district interleague plays with Palmetto Little League

Minors Kid Pitch

Minors Kid Pitch is for boys and girls ages 8 – 11 and is the introduction of player pitchers, stealing bases, and umpires. Catchers must now be more mobile for errant pitches. Batters begin to learn to not swing at balls and timing is dependent on the pitcher on the mound. Players begin to field, catch, and throw balls with greater difficulty. This district interleague plays with Palmetto Little League.

Majors

The Major Division is for boys and girls ages 10 – 12. Majors uses the same 60-foot diamond and 46-foot pitching distance as the previous divisions. Players ages 11 – 12 must register for Majors. This division interleague plays during the season with District Teams in Manatee County.

Intermediate

The Intermediate Division is for boys and girls ages 11 – 13 and utilizes a 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot base paths. Players ages 11 – 12 must register for Majors and may only be moved to Intermediate following evaluations, based on Player Agent recommendation, Executive Board approval, and space availability. This offers a transition for players between the standard Little League field size (46-foot pitching distance and 60-foot base paths) and the Junior/Senior field size (60-foot, 6-inch pitching distance and 90-foot base paths). This division interleague plays during the season with District Teams in Manatee County.

Juniors & Seniors

Juniors (ages 13 – 14): The Junior League Baseball Division uses a 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches. Placement is based on evaluations and includes 14-year-olds not drafted into Seniors.

Seniors (ages 14 – 16): The Senior League Baseball Division is for boys and girls 14-16 years old, using a conventional 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches. Fourteen-year-olds must attend evaluations and be drafted into Seniors. This division interleague plays during the season with District Teams in Manatee County.

Buffalo Creek Little League Board of Directors reserve the right to ensure all players are in the division that match their age and skill level by way of Pre-Season Evaluations.

Parents are strongly encouraged to become involved in all divisions of Little League Baseball. After completing a Little League volunteer application and passing a required national background check,

parents may choose to be involved in practices, and be eligible as coaches, managers, umpires, local league board members and other volunteer positions within the league.

Buffalo Creek Little League is only able to serve the kids in the community through the generous support of local businesses. These donations give kids the opportunity to thrive within a positive team environment. Since our organization relies heavily on the generosity of companies like yours, we are asking for a one-time monetary donation or a team sponsorship.

Want to sponsor a team, advertise, or donate to Buffalo Creek Little League? Along with our sponsorships, we now offer smaller signs. These signs can be any family’s last name or even dedicate a sign to a player! These signs will be placed around our park to be seen by everyone. All advertising and sponsorships goes towards team jerseys, hats, field lights, batting cages for the players, maintenance, umpires, baseballs and much needed equipment.
